Dig, dig, dig

At last the mountain of earth at the front of the house has been moved. I've been wanting to see the front in full for ages. When you have a BIG digger on site it's amazing how fast things change. He has dug out the growing area, put most of the soil to the back for berming and started the entrance path for us.

Viewed from above you can see the 60cm step for the front wall to be built on. Luckily it occured just where the soil changed into hard limestone. This will be dug out later down to floor level.
